understanding yourself and creating relationships that feel meaningful, safe, and connected
Relationships can be incredibly meaningful, joyous, and bring connection into our lives. They can also be a source of insecurity and fears that we may have trouble navigating. Maybe you find yourself falling into familiar patterns or wondering why certain situations keep triggering the same kind of emotional reactions. Maybe you struggle to communicate your needs.
Or maybe you’re navigating the world of dating and running into trying to figure out what you want, figure out what feels right, or remain grounded.
How we show up in our relationships is shaped by our past experiences - in family systems, and relationships of all kinds. What we’ve learned from these experiences about safety and vulnerability also impacts how we show up. In therapy, we look at these patterns together with curiosity and compassion - helping you move from reactive protection to genuine connection.
navigating dating & relationships as an individual
Dating and individual relationship work can bring up questions like: Am I asking for too much? Why do I keep falling into the same dynamics?
Whether you are exploring what you want, processing a breakup, or trying to break old cycles, therapy offers a space to make sense of your relational world.
how we can work together:
unpack what’s underneath: we’ll explore not just what’s happening on the surface, but the underlying feelings, protective mechanisms, and unspoken needs driving your interactions
understand your relational roots: we'll examine how your past experiences influence how you communicate, handle hurt, and navigate closeness today
cultivate self-trust: learn to recognize your needs, set authentic boundaries, navigate dating with confidence and clarity, and trust in yourself to make choices that feel good for you.
my role as your therapist: my goal isn't to tell you what to do or what your relationships should look like. I'm here to help you feel more connected to yourself, and to feel confident building relationships that honor who you are
strengthening connection through couples therapy
Perhaps you and your partner find yourselves having the same argument over and over again. Maybe one of you reaches to talk things through while the other retreats to process. This leaves both of you feeling frustrated, lonely, and/or misunderstood. Sometimes the harder we try to feel understood, the further apart we end up feeling. Beneath the conflict or emotional distance, there is almost always hurt, fear, and/or a deep desire for reassurance that can feel difficult to express.
approach in couples therapy:
mapping your dynamic: drawing from attachment-based and emotionally focused approaches, we’ll identify the repetitive cycle you get caught in so you can fight the pattern, not each other.
understanding responses: we’ll explore how each of you responds when you feel disconnected, making room to understand both your own internal world and your partner's (this part is key).
building new experiences: we’ll practice expressing vulnerability, listening with genuine understanding, and responding in warm ways that foster trust and emotional intimacy.
the goal: we aren't here to figure out who is "right" or "wrong." We are here to understand the patterns that pull you apart and practice new ways of coming back together.
creating new ways of relating
The ways we show up in relationships often developed for a reason. Rather than judging ourselves for our reactions or wondering what's wrong with us, we can get curious about what our patterns might be telling us and what we may need. With our increased understanding of ourselves, we can begin to explore new and different ways of responding, communicating, and relating to others.
UNCOVER: get curious about your past patterns
UNDERSTAND: connect patterns to past experiences & needs
TRANSFORM: practice new ways of communicating and relating
INTEGRATE: embed these new ways of relating into your daily life
My hope is to create a space where you feel deeply supported to explore these parts of yourself and encouraged to try something new. Together, we’ll make sense of where you are, what you want, and what it looks like to move toward relationships that feel truly connected, grounded, and fulfilling.
You deserve relationships where you feel seen, understood, and connected, both to others and to yourself
