attachment-based therapy

Attachment-based therapy explores how our relationship experiences shape us. Our early relationships and experiences can shape how we see ourselves, connect with others, and navigate closeness. Sometimes the ways we've learned to protect ourselves or seek connection can show up in our relationships today. Attachment-based therapy helps us understand these patterns with curiosity and compassion so we can explore what we need, feel more secure in our relationships, and find new ways of connecting with others. I also believe that healing can happen through the relationships we build including the relationship we develop in therapy.

humanistic therapy

I believe we're all capable of growth and change and that we don't need to be fixed or become someone else to get there. Humanistic therapy is about understanding you as a whole person and honoring your humanity by making space for all the different parts of who you are. I don't see myself as someone who has all the answers, but as someone who can sit alongside you as we make sense of your experiences together. I believe there's something meaningful about our shared humanity and the ways we can feel seen, understood, and connected.

experiential therapy

Understanding something in our heads isn't always the same as actually feeling it for ourselves. Experiential therapy invites us to slow down and pay attention to what shows up in the present moment such as your immediate feelings, thoughts, and bodily reactions. Rather than just talking about your life, we create a active space to explore those experiences as they unfold in front of us. As you begin to experience yourself differently in our work, you can start to see yourself in a new light and treat yourself with greater compassion. You might also discover new ways of navigating situations that used to feel stuck.

narrative therapy

The stories we tell ourselves about who we are are deeply shaped by our past experiences and relationships. Narrative therapy offers space to examine those stories - helping you separate yourself from the problems you face, reconnect with forgotten strengths and values, rewrite unhelpful narratives, envision how you want your future to unfold, and step into a story that feels authentically yours.

person-centered therapy

I believe you are the expert on your own life, and that therapy should be a space where you feel safe enough to explore your experiences openly and honestly. Person-centered therapy is grounded in the belief that we all have the capacity for growth and change when we feel understood, accepted, and supported. My role is to meet you with curiosity and care, without judgment, while helping you make sense of your experiences and discover what feels right for you.

emotionally focused therapy (EFT)

Our relationships can bring up some of our deepest feelings and vulnerabilities, especially when we feel disconnected from the people we care about. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) helps us understand the emotions and needs beneath our reactions and the patterns we can get caught in with others. In couples therapy, we'll explore how these patterns affect your connection and work toward new ways of communicating, responding to one another, cultivating emotional safety, and building a stronger sense of emotional closeness.

systems theory

The way we see ourselves and relate to others is deeply shaped by the relationships, culture, and communities we grow up in. As a systemic therapist, I look at the big picture - understanding you within the full context of your life and lived experiences. Together, we’ll explore how these broader influences show up today, make sense of the patterns you’ve carried, honor the experiences that formed them, and empower you to create shifts for meaningful and lasting change in your life and relationships.
